INSTAGON - Bitch Slapped By Death

When Instagon plays live it begins with a subtle hum of sound that promptly begins to increase in volume...a sort of ambient white flow of sound that we call "Thee Invokation"..and this meandering of audio textures will fall into a groove. "Bitch Slapped By Death" is a composition that was started in this way.. out of the void and into an improvisational groove. The percussion begins to move quietly and then loudly.. the guitar adding ambient overlays of cloudy sounds, while the bass punches in with occasional direction and movement.
This piece is over all a QUIET piece by Instagon. but was chosen to show that even in quiet free form jazz, volume and dynamics are very important to making the experience flow. This piece was recorded the day that Ike Turner died , and was named accordingly.
